WomensCollegeFlagFootball.com is the leading independent resource for women’s college flag football. The site tracks programs, rankings, coaching moves, and the growth of the sport across NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA, and club levels, with a focus on expanding opportunities for female athletes.

About Shawn Fennewald

Shawn Fennewald is the founder of WomensCollegeFlagFootball.com and the author of the WCFFB Wire. He is a journalist, media developer, and industry connector focused on the growth of women’s flag football at the college level.

Fennewald is the first and only flag-football-specific member of the Football Writers Association of America. He serves as tournament director for the CFP Flag Football Showcase and works as an advocate for women’s sports and the continued development of the college game.

A physical education teacher in Fulton, Missouri, Fennewald has been involved in flag football for years, both as a coach and as a longtime observer of the sport’s rapid expansion. He launched WomensCollegeFlagFootball.com to create a central hub for teams, rankings, schedules, and news at a time when new varsity programs, conference championships, and pathways to the national team and Olympics were emerging faster than coverage could keep up.

His work is driven by the belief that women’s flag football is creating life-changing opportunities at the high school, college, professional, and Olympic levels—and that those opportunities deserve consistent, accurate coverage.
