NFL and TMRW Sports add annual Pro Flag Showcase to open Super Bowl LXI week
NFL and TMRW Sports press release; Sept. 21, 2026.
The NFL and TMRW Sports announced a new annual Pro Flag Showcase to kick off Super Bowl week, starting with Super Bowl LXI in Los Angeles. The event will spotlight athletes from the professional flag football league the NFL and TMRW are building, staged at a custom-built Los Angeles venue with a live broadcast.
Brian Flinn, NFL senior vice president of global flag football, and Brendan Donohue, TMRW Sports president of flag football, framed the Showcase as a Super Bowl-week platform for the sport’s top players ahead of the league’s launch and the 2028 Olympics. NFL Pro Bowl honorees, Hall of Famers, and legends will serve as advocates. The release again notes support from all 32 NFL club owners and the broader youth-to-college pathway, including more than 250 colleges with women’s flag programming. Background on the league partnership is here.
